Erin & Maclean + Carlson Revisited

We had the privilege of designing another wedding for another one of Linda Carlson's children this past weekend.   We met Linda seven years ago when her daughter Diana was getting married at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.  They were such a wonderful family and we were so happy when we heard from her again this past fall for her son Maclean's wedding.  Please enjoy the first set of photos from Jamie Delaine Photography  from this past weekend at Grouse Mountain.  We love the unique touches that they incorporated into their wedding, especially their Cookie Bar (a take on the popular Candy Bar) as the bride has a love of cookies.  The bouquets also fit in with their love of Harry Potter with accents of pheasant feathers and curly willow cascading over peonies.   A magical glow was developed by the use of towering cylinder vases with willow submerged to create a elegant forest feel.  The entrance way was adorned with 10' tall willow trees arching together to create a tunnel for guests to enter the room. We look forward to working with Maclean and Erin in the future with their amazing company Hello Tomorrow Wedding Videography.

Wow the wedding was beautiful thanks to you guys!!!
We were so thrilled and elated to see what you all had done.
The church was perfect and Lupin's was spectacular. People were talking about it before I even got in there to see for myself. There definitely was a buzz going around about the decorating. :) :) I thought it was amazing and more importantly, so did Erin and Mac.
Who would of thought a cafeteria could be transformed into something like that.
It was magical and all the candlelight really enhanced the foggy, cozy evening it turned out to be.
You guys have done it again. I am just so sorry that I have no more children getting married. I LOVE weddings with you guys.
The happy couple are now in Hawaii relaxing and getting some sun. They loved their day, from start to finish.

Where do I begin? How can I possibly thank you enough for the stunning décor at Swaneset Resort?

The décor was incredible.  I knew it would be amazing but it was above and beyond even my expectations. Over and over, compliments such as enchanting, beautiful, fresh, romantic, unique, grande, heavenly, breathtaking……..oh, I can go on and on! 

I don’t know how you did it but you brought the dreamy softness and delicate feeling of spring indoors. I get goosebumps just thinking about walking through those majestic arching cherry blossom trees.  I can’t think of a better feeling for a bride on her wedding day.

The ceremony gave the best first impression to our guests and set the tone for the remainder of the day.  It was definitely a ‘wow’ factor!!  Surrounded by thousands of blooms with the light dancing between the branches accompanied by harp music……it was heaven.  And the décor for the reception was divine…

From the moment we first met in your office, we felt like you understood all the emotions we wanted to convey to the guests.   Something different, something true to the spring season, something memorable and evoking feelings of freshness and love.   You took all those words and helped us focus our vision.  Your creativity, cooperation, sensitivity, enthusiasm, professionalism and amazing style culminated in a day that will be in my heart forever.  You were an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to work with, always available and attentive, incredibly meticulous and detailed yet full of joy and laughter.  It was FUN to contact you and your team; working with you was honestly one of the highlights of the wedding planning. 

From the bottom of my heart, I THANK YOU a million times over.   I tried to mention it to anyone wearing the black Wedding Design team shirt, I hope you all felt appreciated because you really were.

 Aisleway hedged with orange mokara orchids. White leather furniture accents the seating area. Draping of taffeta around the perimeter of the terrace area. Taffeta pillows designed to accent the decor colours.

Seven foot wreaths to flank the gates leading into Swaneset, consisting of orchids, hydrangea, curly willow and roses.

 Each centerpiece flanked with a hedge of mokara orchids, three shades of roses, hydrangea. Solid glass charger plates rimmed with gold designed in Germany.Cream and white brocade linen napkins.

Eight feet tall centerpieces of curly willow, dripping with stems of mokara orchids, rimmed with hydrangea. Heavy textured cream brocade chair covers accented with taupe taffeta.

Wedding Design Studio designed a cream on cream on white, elegant spring wedding at Capilano Golf & Country Club this past Saturday.

Swaneset Bay Resort & Country Club

We also designed a wedding on Sunday, at Swaneset. The Bride's aisleway was adorned with, 12' tall cherry blossom trees. Gorgeous, light and airy. This Swaneset bride was blown away. Spring is in the air!

We just wanted to thank you SO SO SO SO much for making our wedding day extra special!  Your décor was BREATHTAKING, AMAZING, FABULOUS, BEYOND WORDS!!!!  I don’t know how to thank you enough.  We had nothing but compliments on the décor from every single person, no joke.  And with the spectacular view and venue at the Vancouver Convention Centre, it just looked even more perfect.  Everyone had said that the room looked stunning….I just wanted to thank you for doing such a magnificent job.  You really are the best; and it totally showed in your work. We got nothing but compliment after compliment on it all…and many thanks goes to the décor, and how incredible it looked.  When I was initially looking for a decorator for our wedding, not one company caught my eye…everything looked okay, or average.  But when I came across your work, I knew right away that I wanted to have you do my wedding, because all your work was so beautiful and definitely had that WOW factor….you definitely stand behind your words. It all was worth it….it definitely paid off in the end.  I could just go on and on of how much I loved how everything looked, but I should keep it short.  Thanks again for everything….it was everything we wanted for our wedding, and MORE!

A Night of Hollywood Glam at Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa

Wedding Design Studio wanted to revisit  Ildiko & Gary's wedding at Harrison Hot Springs. Gorgeous Bride, gorgeous Groom, gorgeous Venue. Ildiko's career as a model and actor made it easy to bring inspiration to the overall design. We loved Ildiko's initial idea of " Hollywood Glam". Ildiko's  amazing personality made her a pleasure to work with on the coordination of her wedding design!!! Hollywood glam all the way!!!

I knew as soon as I walked into Wedding Design Studio and met Kim, that she would be my wedding designer!

There are so many details and decisions when it comes to planning a wedding that it's easy to become overwhelmed, especially in the beginning.

Kim and her team were so easygoing and fun to work with and took such a load off my wedding planning shoulders!

Kim has this natural flare and talent to take your ideas and design them into something even better than you imagined them.

Our guests raved about the decor and we still receive compliments months later.

She's kind of like the Martha Stewart of wedding decor.
